The Hotel Ibis Birmingham recently launched the “Green Spaces” Project with a local School & Office Landscapes.
The Green Spaces Project is aimed at bringing local communities & businesses together to get children directly involved with planting flowers, to make their city a greener & healthier place to live. It aims to encourage young people to learn about gardening through hands-on experience.
Green Spaces Happy Faces
Carlos the Hotel manager who came up with the idea of the Green Spaces theme said, “This hotel initiative is a superb way of introducing children to the joy of gardening and creating pleasant, attractive environments which they have helped to create.”
Office Landscapes donated plant containers and the Hotel Ibis Birmingham Bordesley donated the flowering Bulbs. The pupils from Starbank School were helped by Office Landscapes, the team from the Hotel Ibis & the Bearded Broz, to plant the bulbs at the Hotel and around their school grounds. Carlos from the Hotel also very kindly gave each child a Hyacinth bulb and plant pot to take home and nurture over the winter.
