We helped make Birmingham city centre a little greener this week, with the installation of plant displays to two city centre offices.
A recently refurbished period office building Enterprise House B3 2HJ wanted a interior planting scheme that would complement the contemporary interior fit out of the buildings main reception.
Working from a 3D visualisation supplied by hi design we created a superb artificial grasses feature underneath the main stairs.
Three large floor standing displays were also installed in this area. Two white Cubico displays with striking Ficus Benjamina 'Open Braided' trees and a Silver Cubico display with a tall compact Philodendron Scanden plant.
The client also wanted some scented plants similar to exterior Lavender. We used Stephanotis Floribunda a heavily scented interior plant. Three of these were positioned on the main windowsill and were planted into white containers, which contrasted well with the plants glossy deep green leaves and white flowers.
Just round the corner at Bank House, Cherry Street, B2 5AL, Bibby Financial Services wanted plant displays that would reflect their corporate colours. After one of our Interior Plant Designers had visited the offices and discussed ideas with the client, Scarlet Red planters were decided on. Both low square "Quadro" and tall square "Cubico" planters were used with a variety of plants including dark green Zamiifolia Zamioculcas, Ficus Benjamina 'Open Braid', Dracaena Gold Coast and Kentia Palm.
